TedxSitges 2021 Leaders beyond barriers

On November 6, Meritxell Teixidó, CEO and Co-Founder of Gate2Brain participated in the first edition of TedxSitges on the theme of Empathy, the ability to share someone else’s feelings or experiences by imagining what it would be like to be in that person’s situation.

Ted Conferences is a nonprofit organization devoted to spreading ideas that began in 1984 and today covers topics from science to business, to global issues in more than 100 languages.

During the conference, Meritxell Teixidó talked about how each and every one of us are leaders who cross barriers. How human beings have a tendency to detect what differentiates them rather than what makes them similar, despite we are all human beings in 3D. How in order to get the maximum potential of the different dimensions of people, we need leaders who see people in 3D.  How Empathy in leadership is the magic tool for leaders who want to cross barriers.

Throughout her talk, Meritxell Teixidó recounted how she has been able to bring a dream (based on more than 15 years of team research) beyond biological, creative, societal, cultural and economic barriers by creating a novel technology platform for the delivery of therapeutics across biological barriers, Gate2Brain. A technology that seeks to improve people’s lives, a project born of empathy.
