Bits & Pretzels
Catapult has been an extensive journey that started approximately more than one year ago, filled with valuable lessons and challenges. It all began with our decision to apply, and upon receiving the news of our acceptance into the program, we embarked on this transformative experience.
Progressing through the stages, Gate2Brain emerged successfully, earning a spot among the 30 startups representing the region in the program’s semifinals. This phase entailed receiving remarkable individual training from a panel of globally renowned health experts to refine our pitch deck and business model, among them our EIT Health’s mentor, Dirk Groenewegen, to whom we’re deeply thankful for his invaluable expertise and advice that accompanied us every step of the way. Additionally, we had the privilege of participating in a Get Together event held in Paris, where we had the opportunity to meet all the Catapult semifinalists in person over two days. This event presented a fantastic chance to foster synergies and forge meaningful connections. Our expedition continued as we presented our project to an investor jury, ultimately being chosen as a runner-up finalist to attend Bits & Bretzels and pitch our venture.
Along this journey, we had the chance to engage with corporates, venture capitalists, and an entire ecosystem deeply invested in fostering social impact by supporting startups like Gate2Brain. Moreover, we were fortunate to witness the presence of Michael J. Fox, an iconic figure and idol for our most veteran team members
We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of this remarkable expedition, where we have had the privilege of encountering remarkable individuals driven by the shared goal of making significant strides in improving people’s lives
The quality of the submitted projects was truly exceptional, and we extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the startups that took part in this program and to the nine winners.
At Gate2Brain, we’re leveraging this momentum and persevering on our pursuit of bringing medicines beyond barriers.
