Hospital Connection

On Wednesday, Helena Castillo Ecija PhD, MBA, our Preclinical and Clinical Project Manager, attended “Hospital Connection”, an event organized by the Innovation Working Group of CataloniaBio & HealthTech.

This event provided Gate2Brain an excellent opportunity to hear first-hand from hospital professionals the needs according to their daily experience with patients and in health emergency situations. It served as a platform to explore challenges and clinical needs that demand innovative solutions, emphasizing the importance of collaboration between the public and private sectors, with a specific focus on addressing pediatric clinical requirements.

Throughout the presentations, there was unanimous agreement on the necessity to develop products specifically tailored to the needs of children rather than simply adapting adult practices. Whether it involves creating new treatments or devices, the consensus was clear: pediatric care demands unique solutions.

We thank the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona and CataloniaBio & HealthTech for hosting this event. Special thanks to the professionals of the innovation unit i4KIDS I i4KIDS-EUROPE and the clinicians who generously shared their insights into the daily challenges of pediatric patient care.

Now, it’s time to forge connections and collaborations to develop new technologies and joint hospital-company solutions that can swiftly benefit the young patients who need them the most.
