We are thrilled to announce that our CEO, Meritxell Teixido, has been awarded the Talent Prize 2023 by the Impulsa Talentum Foundation. The award was presented to her by the president of the Foundation, Bru Recolons i Argente.
The mission of Impulsa Talentum Foundation is to identify, promote, and enhance talent as a transformative element of our society. Their aim is to improve corporate culture, promote best practices, uphold values, and encourage organizations to generate positive impacts on the environment, the economy, and society, thus creating a better world for future generations.
Gate2Brain is a spin-off of the Barcelona Institute for Biomedical Research (IRB Barcelona), the Universitat de Barcelona, and the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu Barcelona. Established in 2020, our mission is to develop therapies that enable drugs to cross biological barriers such as the blood-brain barrier and reach the brain more effectively.
With an initial investment from the Mind the Gap Program of the Fundación Botín and BStartup Health of Banco Sabadell, and subsequently benefiting from the CDTI Neotec Program supported by the Ministerio de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación and the EIC Accelerator grant from the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA), at Gate2Brain, we’re diligently working on treating brain diseases with a technology based on peptides, molecules formed by the combination of various amino acids, which enhance treatment efficacy and minimize side effects.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude for this recognition and the ongoing support from our partners and supporters. Together, we are committed to driving innovation and making a meaningful impact bringing medicines beyond barriers.
