CataloniaBio HealthTech Gala 2024
Last night, Gate2Brain had the honor of attending the CataloniaBio HealthTech Gala with entrepreneurs, executives, investors, institutional representatives, and stakeholders gathered to celebrate the achievements in the health and life sciences sector in Catalonia.
It was an inspiring networking dinner aimed at fostering relationships and promoting business and scientific collaboration.
This year, the prestigious #BioExit award recognized two outstanding companies for their remarkable milestones in 2024:
AstraZeneca was honored for its significant commitment to Barcelona, demonstrated by the opening of its scientific innovation center just over a year ago. This center aims to accelerate the development of the next generation of treatments across five therapeutic fields.
WIVI vision was recognized for its remarkable internationalization efforts, particularly for entering the US market through a strategic agreement with a local partner. With a presence in 70 eye care centers in Spain and strategic partnerships with specialized firms, WIVI Vision is making waves in the industry.
We were proud to witness the growth and competitiveness of Catalonia’s health and life sciences sector. Mariona Serra-Pagès, President of #WeAreCataloniaBioHT, highlighted, “The association and our members work tirelessly to lead the development and implementation of major advances in health technologies and therapies, driving national competitiveness and cutting-edge healthcare.”
